Gathering Colours Between the Tides

 90X120cm

“A sea breeze drifts through the canvas, giving the summer flowers a sense of breath within the weight of oil paint. The clustered blooms resemble clouds of rosy light gently torn by the wind; white petals rise like sea spray, and even the rocks seem to hold the warmth of sunlit salt. Step closer, and you are not only seeing colour and form—you can almost smell the mingling of flowers and sea, feel the cool touch of waves trembling at your fingertips. It is as if the whole of summer is slowly flowing across the canvas, each breath rising and falling in rhythm with light and wind.”

When paint becomes a vessel for the sea breeze, each thick, layered stroke turns into the breath of summer flowers.

With imagery as its framework, the artist gathers the coastal heat through piled oil paint: the blossoms are clouds of rosy light kneaded by the wind, white petals rise like spray startled by the waves, and even the rocks become sun-warmed islets. He does not imitate form, but captures atmosphere—allowing viewers to feel the softness of grass through textured ridges, the cool of the sea through blended colors, translating the “scent of summer” into a tactile vibration.

This is not a painting meant merely to be seen, but a floral letter meant to be breathed in. Unfold it, and your fingertips are tinged with salt and blossom; close your eyes, and memory’s light begins to ripple. The wind seems to blow from within the canvas, like time gently turning a page. In that moment, viewing moves beyond the eye and leads inward—to where the world is not only shaped before us, but warmth moving through the air, stories hidden in color, and the quiet pulse felt in each subtle touch.
