2015 – Chinese Oil Painter Li Quanfeng “Nature’s Minds-cape” Charity Solo Exhibition

In 2015, the Fuguai Charity Foundation organized the “Nature’s Mindscape” solo charity exhibition by Chinese oil painter Li Quanfeng, aiming to raise RM 500,000 to help flood victims rebuild their homes.

Zhang Weici, Director of the Danjiang Dizigui Teaching Center from Kelantan, noted that the floods showed Malaysia the importance of unity beyond ethnic and religious differences during crises. Chen Jianfa, Vice Chairman of the foundation, highlighted the goal of promoting meaningful public welfare projects and encouraging broader participation in charity.

The exhibition was organized by the Fuguai Charity Foundation, organized by the Changed Cultural and Educational Foundation, and the Danjiang Dizigui Teaching Center, and supported by multiple organizations, including the Fuguai Group, Jinfeng Art Gallery, and Tinge Press.

The opening guest was Cheras MP Chen Guowei. Other attendees included prominent local politicians and cultural figures. A total of 65 oil paintings were exhibited and sold, with all proceeds going toward flood relief and reconstruction.

Li Quanfeng expressed his honor at presenting his work publicly while contributing to the rebuilding of homes, and thanked all organizers and supporters for making the exhibition possible.

2018 – “Setting Sail” Oil Painting Exhibition

In 2018, the Boyi International Art Club held its inaugural oil painting exhibition, titled “Setting Sail.” The exhibition showcased the milestone works of the club’s first members, serving as both a presentation of teaching achievements and the club’s first public engagement with an audience.

The exhibited works covered a wide range of subjects and styles, reflecting members’ exploration of painting techniques and artistic understanding, as well as their early attempts at personal expression. For many artists, this was the first time their creations moved from private studios into a public gallery, providing a complete experience of exhibition processes, artwork presentation, and audience feedback.

As the club’s first collective exhibition, “Setting Sail” not only fulfilled a display function but also offered valuable experience for future teaching and creative activities. Through curating, installation, and public presentation, the club gradually established a practice of “using exhibitions to promote learning and creation,” laying the foundation for subsequent exhibitions.

Looking back, the significance of this inaugural exhibition extends beyond its immediate presentation. It initiated a sustainable model in which creation, display, dialogue, and growth mutually reinforce one another. It marked the starting point of Boyi International Art Club’s artistic journey and provided ongoing experience and direction for every exhibition that followed.

Mr. Li Quanfeng is an oil painter with a solid foundation in both Eastern and Western art, rich cultural depth, and a strong sense of contemporary expression. Having lived in Malaysia for over twenty years, he has explored the fusion of Eastern and Western artistic traditions within a multicultural environment.

His works feature expansive visual space and dynamic, expressive brushstrokes. Through the blending of fluid, natural colors, he presents a harmonious balance of elegance and strength, while continually developing new compositional approaches and techniques. By integrating the rational formal beauty of Western art with the expressive, intuitive spirit of Eastern aesthetics, Li Quanfeng has formed a distinctive personal style.

Whether depicting still lifes, flowers, birds, animals, or landscapes, his paintings guide viewers into the artist’s inner world, fostering resonance and shared understanding, and inviting them to experience the joy of artistic communion.
